The Grass Lake Lady Warriors kept a grip on the top spot of the Cascades Conference last week, rolling over the Michigan Center Cardinals January 7th, 58-16 at Grass Lake for their third win of the season.
Gabi Lutchka got the Warriors rolling with 9 of her game high 14 points in the first quarter as Grass Lake jumped out to a 19-4 first quarter lead.
Sophomore Olivia Turner led the second quarter surge, hitting three triples for 9 of her 11 points for the night as the Warriors went on a 21-5 run to put the game out of reach 40-9 at halftime.
Freshman Kate Starkey also hit double figures, scoring 10 points, while freshman Breyenn Salts contributed 7 points for the Warriors.
