A Trunk or Treat put on by the Norvell community is slated for Sunday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. in front of the Norvell Sheriff’s Detachment (the “Mill Street building”). Children will enjoy basic trunk-or-treating and can have cider and donuts with police officers, firefighters, and EMS/EMT local heroes. Coffee will be available as well for adults.

Local heroes coming to the event include representatives from the Michigan State Police, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and Mounted Division – with horses, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, Jackson Community Ambulance, the Napoleon Township Fire Department, and J-DART.

But that’s not all. Jackson County and Norvell Township Sheriff Deputy Jay Truchan is donating some of his wages to have live music at the event by local favorite Kev Nichols. The Heckaman family will be bringing antique tractors for people to check out.

It’s going to be a great event to bring the community together,” said event organizer Kathy Sutherland.
