Changes to the 2020 varsity football season in the Cascades Conference will affect week one.
Vandercook Lake High School has changed from 11-man football to 8-man football due to low numbers. That means the Jayhawks will not be playing a Cascades Conference schedule this fall.
A number of conference schools have a one-game hole in their schedules. Teams are trying to fill those holes with non-conference opponents.
Grass Lake High School will travel to Livonia Clarenceville on Friday at 7 p.m.
Napoleon – who was scheduled to travel to VCL – will instead travel to East Jackson to open the season on Friday at 7 p.m.
Look for adjustments to the Addison and Napoleon football schedules in the coming weeks.
Addison will still travel to Manchester for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Friday and Columbia Central will host Onsted for a 7 p.m. start.
